Do not place the whole furniture against the walls. The living-room is a place where you are supposed to socialize, to talk to friends, so if the chairs and sofas are against the walls and away from each other – this will make the conversations impossible. SO make sure you create conversation areas like a sofa and two chairs placed around a coffee table. If the living-room has a large TV set, create the interest area around it. Consider the room’s dimensions when arranging the furniture because you must not use too much furniture when the room is smaller or it will look really crowded. It is also important to leave enough space for traffic lanes, at least 20-24 inches. Nowadays people prefer the minimalist style in decorating the living-room, but you can make your own choices as long as you keep these basic rules.
Yellow is such a fun and beautiful color. It’s the color and the sun and it brightens up any interior, no matter now dull it is. This also makes it a perfect color for the living room. Yellow living room designs are very beautiful and they are great especially during the summer. Of course, they would also be a constant reminder of the sunny days. Now let’s see how exactly we can use yellow in the living room during the redecoration process.
Thinking outside the box is a feature that not many people manage to explore it. By turning your room in a cozy Oriental- inspired den you show appreciation for a culture thousands and thousands year old. You will achieve comfort with low sofas , cushions , rich colors and architectural details like the shaped doorway .The Moroccan style uses shades such as teal and yellow. Carefully though, avoid making the place look too overdone.
They say chess is the sport for mind and that it goes a long way back in history, being played by the Orient kings. I love chess and so do many other people, some of them even being so passionate about it that they want to reflect their passion in the way they arrange their homes, so they want to arrange a chess-themed living room. It’s not so hard to do that, as you can find enough chess-themed objects on the Internet, in the online stores, but you must be careful not to exaggerate and obtain an unwanted result.
