A vanity table or cabinet represent accessory furniture. It each has its functionality but it’s not a main piece. And while this detail could mean that it’s a perfect opportunity for this piece to blend in and to stay neutral, another option is for the vanity and its complementary stool to stand out and to serve as accent details. The stool itself becomes an accessory able to impact the room’s décor and style. The accessories which can be added to the duo are numerous, a mirror with lights being just one of them.
The coffee table is the piece that ties it all together. It often serves as a focal point in the living room and it’s always a must have. This is why designers are constantly innovating and coming up with new designs meant to increase the coffee table’s functionality or aesthetic appeal. The materials they use are sometimes odd. Concrete coffee tables are, for example, may not be very popular but they’re definitely interesting. The Mason coffee table shows us that concrete has a sophisticated side. That side was showcased in a minimalist design which emphasizes the table’s polished surface, clean lines and cool gray color.
This is a very similar project and a great way to give your plain coffee table a rustic look with a weathered gray wooden top. The design and finish go particularly well with the coastal décor but you can basically match this piece with all sorts of interiors. The steps to create something like this are pretty simple. First, get a Lack Ikea coffee table and assemble it. Then get some wood and cut the boards to size. Stain them with your favorite color. Carefully measure the boards and place them on top of the table so they sit evenly. You can leave some gaps between them if you like the look. Then nail down the boards and that’s pretty much it.
The second position features the bed pulled all the way to the ceiling. That’s when the user utilizes a pulley system to maximize the floor space in the room. An automatic up/down mechanism lowers and raises the bed as needed. The bed has to be assembled on site by the buyer. Both the size and the materials are largely customizable. The largest bed weighs around 80 kg and features extra protection designed to make it safe and secure in the pulled up position.
