The first thing to do is to paint the walls of the living room in black and white. But do not paint them exactly like a chess board because this would be too tiring for the eyes. You can though paint one wall white and the opposite black. Then use some or all of the decorating items presented here, all of them chess-themed. Or you can try to combine a checkered coffee table in black and white and maybe some nice looking ceramic supports for the books. Hang a beautiful post-modernist painting on the wall and the effect will be amazing. Just make sure you do not fill up the room with chess-related items because too much is too much in everything you want to do. So keep it simple, but in good taste.
If you like a particular color I don’t see why you can’t go an saturate the room with it. The essence here is to explore and use all the different shades and tones to make the room look modern. Along with a modular sofa like this one you can design the perfect place for the entire family . This particularly design can be applied on small and medium sized rooms to get the most from de desired theme.
The living room is often the core of a home. It’s a very important and can often be a multifunctional space. It’s where you welcome guests, where you spend time as a family and where you also get to spend most of your free time when you’re home. The living room can be considered a reflection of the entire house. It’s the room that best showcases the style you have chosen for the interior décor throughout your home.
If you like the color’s dramatic character, then you can emphasize it through accent lighting. A long red curtain or an accent wall with spotlights directed on it can become the focal point of a room. Red has a theatrical nature and you can definitely use it to your advantage. People think it’s very easy to arrange the furniture in the house, especially in the living room. But it takes more than spreading the furniture pieces randomly in the living-room to obtain a good impression, a balanced livingroom design that feels welcoming, cosy and nice looking, all at the same time.
