Of course, neutrals aren’t the only viable option. Red is quite versatile and can pair well with lots of different colors. Blue is one of them and, even though the combination may seem surprising and odd at first, given the right color tones it can actually look really chic. You can also choose to stay away from all the drama usually associated with the red color without giving up this shade altogether. For instance, you can choose a faint of pastel shade of red as your accent color and you can combine with other similar colors for a cohesive and harmonious effect.
The living room is often the core of a home. It’s a very important and can often be a multifunctional space. It’s where you welcome guests, where you spend time as a family and where you also get to spend most of your free time when you’re home. The living room can be considered a reflection of the entire house. It’s the room that best showcases the style you have chosen for the interior décor throughout your home.
All the rest is optional. You can also use a bookcase or some bookshelves, a nice looking shelf for displaying decorations, a huge plasma TV set and maybe a plant. That is all. All the furniture pieces must be simple, without adornments and other things that might show bad taste. It is all about simplicity that generates good taste design. The most important rule here is to use only the minimum necessary, to use only one, two or maximum colors in designing the room and also to stick to the simple things. No floral patterns, different shaped , stripes or some other crazy or very crowded things.
Red is a very powerful color which, in large quantities, can easily become overwhelming. It’s a color we often stay away from when decorating our homes and that’s not really fair. If used in the right proportions and balanced with the rest of the décor, red can actually be a very cheerful and elegant color. So let’s see how that would work out. Red walls are a very daring option. But you have to be careful in this case because it’s easy to overdo it. If you paint all the walls in the room red, then the rest of the décor should remain neutral. To make the ambiance a bit less striking, perhaps a single red accent wall would be a better option.
