The living room can be considered a reflection of the entire house. It’s the room that best showcases the style you have chosen for the interior décor throughout your home.

Aceline Barre living room, June 14th , 2017. Most of us decorate the entire house in the same time for many reasons. The need to use the space is one of important matter and also the mess created during construction or renovation. Of course after a while we get bored and want to try something new, but let’s face it, costs have always been a problem. The solution would be to decorate just one key room and to give personality which will spread into the entire house. Let’s take a look at some decorative ideas :

The dark accents are a nice way of highlighting certain areas and furniture pieces and there’s a really nice balance throughout. A slightly different option is to use red as an accent color for the walls without actually painting them entirely. For example, if you have a recessed nook in the room for reading you can have that portion painted red while the rest of the wall is a neutral and less striking color.
Julian Achterop kitchen, June 14th , 2017. Functional and fantastic – that’s what your kitchen should be. To achieve this, here are some must-have décor items that are beautiful while being useful. You might have shelves and cabinets in their usual spots, but a bit of shelving above the stove can come in really handy. You could place items that you need in easy reach, such as your favorite cookbook. This area is also the perfect place for a bit of décor. Colorful crockery or a vase of flowers on the shelves, for instance, can be a great idea. The best part is that you can add or remove items as you wish, depending on what kind of style you wish to have in your kitchen.

This can create the perfect transition between two seemingly disparate spaces, if that’s what you need. If natural, earthy tones speak to you in general, then keep this look going in your bar stool choice. There are plenty of beautiful neutral bar stools out there…and you’ll know that, with its being neutral and all, you will love it in your home. Nothing blends in quite like acrylic, and bar stools made this way are no exception. This adds a sleek, contemporary, almost commercial feel to the bar space. Upholstered seats are, as a general rule, certainly more comfortable than their non-padded counterparts. But there are pros and cons when considering upholstery on a seat that sees more than its fair share of staining potential.

Toilets don’t vary very much but by introducing a non-standard basin into your room’s design you can set the tone for the rest of the decor. If you find the right hand basin, that suits your tastes, it will be a good starting point for the rest of the design. White porcelain hand basins are perfectly fine, but they are ubiquitous. Consider another material instead. Wood, plastics and brushed metal are all very good alternatives. And if you decide that you want to stick to the classic porcelain basin, why not go for a more unusual shape to make it a bit more of a feature?
Lucas Abelen living room, June 14th , 2017. It’s the perfect balance between white and blue and the shade of blue is perfectly chosen to create an almost surreal living room design. At least I thought I was in heaven when I saw the two pictures. The immaculate white walls contrast in a pleasant way with the blue of the curtain and the couches are both blue and white , sitting on a wooden flooring that is unusual in color but still remarkable. Even though I have never seen blue flooring before, I must admit it is not artificial at all, but looks pretty nice.
