This type of wine racks can be easily attached to the underside of the kitchen cabinets. They’re simple accessories which one can add even after the whole furniture is designed and installed. It can be part of a remodel. In the case of an under-cabinet wine glass rack, the module directly above it can be a series of open shelves or it can have a glass door. This space would serve as a wine rack for the bottles. It can also be used for other purposes. If the glass rack is part of the kitchen furniture from the beginning then it can be integrated into the cabinetry and placed at a higher level so the glasses perfectly align with the underside of the other cabinets forming a straight line.
Fluid draping and the fine details of fabrics rendered in marble — these are the hallmarks of classic 16th and 17th century Italian sculptors like Bernini and Michelangelo. Fast forward to 2017 and California designer Sean Knibb is putting a modern spin on the same concept with his Casa Canova collection. Knibb, a well-known landscape designer who has also made his mark with interior designs that “elevate” everyday items, became taken with 18th century sculptor Antonio Canova. Canova was a master of neoclassicism and is often credited with reviving the art of sculpture, which had diminished over time. His dynamic treatment of fabrics and draping was stunning.
One or more rustic accessories can really warm up the décor and the ambiance, making a space feel a lot more inviting and comfortable. And since mirrors are so versatile and part of every home’s interior design, they’re the perfect choice. If it’s the look you care about and not necessarily the authenticity of the item, you can even build the frame yourself and make it look rustic. Sometimes it’s just easier to make something yourself than to try to find the item in stores or at yard sales. It’s why we’ll start with a few DIYs. The materials needed for the first one include a large pine board, wide enough for you to attach a mirror to it and to leave some space around the edges, 4 trim pieces, 4 detailed interior trim pieces and a dark stain of your choice.
Integrating a wine glass rack in the kitchen can be a problem, usually because of the lack of space. However, certain types are created specifically to let you get around this problem, like this one hanging from the ceiling, above the kitchen island which also serves as a bar. A rustic wine glass rack can be made of wood and attached to the ceiling using metal chains. It can be a simple DIY project and it would look beautiful in an industrial or rustic space, with a wooden ceiling, exposed beams and rough finishes.
