A little retro meets industrial meets vintage with some bar stools. This can create the perfect transition between two seemingly disparate spaces, if that’s what you need. If natural, earthy tones speak to you in general, then keep this look going in your bar stool choice. There are plenty of beautiful neutral bar stools out there…and you’ll know that, with its being neutral and all, you will love it in your home. Nothing blends in quite like acrylic, and bar stools made this way are no exception. This adds a sleek, contemporary, almost commercial feel to the bar space. Upholstered seats are, as a general rule, certainly more comfortable than their non-padded counterparts. But there are pros and cons when considering upholstery on a seat that sees more than its fair share of staining potential.
As mentioned earlier, a splash of colour provides you with an easy yet effective way of bringing a beautiful yet bold colour into the kitchen. This is exactly what we see here with the splash of green. Green is great because it offers the ideal blend between calming yet energising qualities. If you want to bring blue into your kitchen but don’t want to go down the icy palette, this option is for you. This kitchen is classy, sophisticated and elegant. It has that traditional charm offered by the wooden features yet the blue ensures it is far from boring. If you want to bring bright colours into your kitchen without causing a headache, this is the option to go for. Opt for a white base and then bring pops of various vibrant shades into the equation. Fun, funky and fresh!
Even though you can now basically find anything you need on the internet, an old-fashioned cookbook can still be very helpful. Store your collection somewhere convenient like on a shelf in the kitchen island or somewhere handy where they don’t clutter the room. Having a wine rack in the kitchen is very practical. Of course, you’ll want it off the counter. A great idea is to have wine storage compartments in the island but you could also find some space for them in the cabinets or even inside a wall. It’s very useful to have dedicated drawers for things like knives, utensils, dishes, spices and other things which come in packs and sets. It makes it easier to be organized and the kitchen also looks more clean and professional this way.
If you’re lucky enough to have a cozy little corner, instead of turning it into the pantry use it to hang up the pots and pans. In turn use those extra cabinets free of pots for dry food. These come bit or small, so grab a circular rod and hang them up! This is a great option for a more spacious kitchen. Peg boards can give your kitchen an eclectic, industrial edge. And they’re easy to install and use, you can create an entire peg wall or just a space for your most-used pieces.
